A question, by proposing a distinction, constructs its answers.
— Bradford Keeney
Questions are the tools of my trade.
As a psychologist, I ask questions not only to orient myself to the person that I am trying to be of help, but questions provide a frame of direction for the client and I.
I wrote about the use of healing questions in my book for therapists called The First Kiss: Undoing the Intake Model…, and specifically in this article on my other Substack, Healing Questions.
How can questions help you? As opposed to a blank page, good questions can be a springboard to help you reflect in a focused manner with depth.
We are all yearning for depth.
I’ve created this journaling toolkit called Hurts & Healing, Loss & Loving to help you go deeper.
Why this journaling toolkit?
Why use this, when there are so many others journaling workbooks out there already?
Good question.
That’s why I’m not selling this; this is free. It’s free because I believe these questions are worthy to be your companions.
I started to compile these questions some years ago because clients in my clinical practice were asking me to guide them with their journaling.
I said, “Go for it.”
They said, “How do I start?”
I gave them questions to reflect on.
Four themes stood out:
Hurts,
Healing,
Loss, &
Loving.
This is exactly how this journal is laid out.
My wish for you is that these questions put you on a quest.
Take your time with them.
P/S: Feel free to print them out.
Crossing Between Worlds is now available in all formats (paperback, ebook, audiobook) and in all good bookstores. You can also buy direct if you wish to support my work. Big thanks.

Hi Darryl,
This is just a heads up to let you know that the link to buy the book directly from you took me to your bonus material but gave me no way to actually buy your book, as I had intended to do. Thanks!
